365 Days of Grieving

On the Wings of Grief

Growing through Loss

This year-long series of email messages is intended to not only educate you about the dynamics of the grief experience, but to inspire you to develop a new level of strength and resilience through your bereavement.

"And perhaps there is a limit to the grieving that the human heart can do. As when one adds salt to a tumbler of water, there comes a point where simply no more will be absorbed." ~ Sarah Waters, The Little Stranger

Each week, we will examine a facet of grief, from physical symptoms to the emotional ups- and-downs of grieving. With proven self-care strategies, engaging activities, anthropological insights into the cross-cultural bereavement practices of other peoples in places near and far; plus quotations from literature, the series is both interesting and valuable.

We look forward to spending time with you each day, and again, thank you for the opportunity to stand beside you in this challenging time.

Please sign up for this FREE e-mail series to give you the help you will need. Simply fill out the form to the right and you will begin receiving daily email support.

About our Grief Educator, Kim Stacey

A licensed funeral director and anthropologist, Kim has over 40 years of professional experience with funeral rituals--and their underlying belief systems--to share with her readers. Add to that her personal experiences of loss, both symbolic and death-related, and you’ve got the essential elements for this series. Kim's continued commitment to caring for others during their time of bereavement and mourning has led her to pursue a credential in grief counseling, which will be awarded in late 2013.
